About Trish

I have decades of experience with children. In high school I worked at a Day Care Center. The past 15 years of my 40+ years of nursing experience were as an Advanced Practice Nurse boarded in child and adolescent psychiatric nursing. I am a mother and a grandmother. I have been a single parent at times with each of my girls. I babysit, including overnight and extended stays for my 2-year-old and 5-month-old grandsons. I understand child development and with my 2-year-old grandson, I turn off the television and we play or read. In my advanced practice role, I have worked with youth who were traumatized and/or had special needs. I have helped care for my now 20-year-old niece with special needs and will continue to do so until she is in a safe placement. I am currently building my own private practice as a Nurse Coach, working from a holistic perspective. I am looking to supplement my income as I do this and working with kids is something I enjoy doing.
