Hello I'm Trish and have a very rounded background when it comes to special needs. Most of my family requires it so lots of first hand experience when it comes to Autism, Sensory Disorders, Down Syndrome. Also speech therapy, dementia, stroke recovery, mobility issues etc. I grew up with a single mother who has been a CNA since I was an infant and have been to many jobs with her so things that may seem to be skills are really just second nature to me. I then ended up in the medical field myself, in hands-on specialty pharmacy. There I cared for patients of all kinds I focused on infectious diseases, many specialties within pediatrics with focuses on CF, endocrinology, infectious disease, gastroenterology, diabetes, cerebral palsy, growth disorders, premature babies, Down's syndrome, and more I'm probably forgetting. I also cared for transplant, oncology, rheumatology and gastroenterology patients.
