My last position was a live-in caregiver in support of elderly woman who suffered from a severe hemorrhagic stroke that caused paralysis on her right side. When I took the position 15 months ago, the woman was wheelchair bound and was not able to write or feed herself. She also has significant issues speaking and understanding verbal communications. I was responsible for taking the woman to appointments, understanding the prescribed therapies, and duplicating the OT, PT, and speech therapies at home. Soon after starting the position, the woman expressed her goal to walk her daughter down the aisle for her wedding. I am happy to say that she met her goal, and today she walks with a cane, writes with her right and left hand, can hold a conversation, and is able to feed herself. I love caring for people and enjoy seeing them accomplish their goals. I am punctual, responsible, and show up with a smile on my face and a positive attitude. I treat all the individuals I care for as family

I have known Tracy for three or four years as a close friend. I have followed her successes in jobs but don't have first-hand experience with her as a caregiver. Nevertheless, I would be eager to recommend her, based on our friendship and also on work that she's done for my wife and me. Her enthusiasm for her clients is obvious. Tracy is one of the most up-beat and engaging persons I've known. She gets along well with everyone, accomplishes an extraordinary amount of work in an ordinary day, is honest, and is extremely reliable. However, maybe her most outstanding trait is her facility with laughter and her ability to make others around her also feel good.
