About Torie

I am a working artist and performer with a passion for education! I am a student at Community College of Philadelphia for early education. I am based in North Philadelphia, with three years of paid experience with children. I have babysat, worked for an afterschool program, regularly do children's birthday parties + workshops, and volunteered at my church's childcare program. I also have experience taking care of my elderly aunt, who I regularly clean and run errands for. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, hoola hooping, climbing, dance (I do ballet!), and doing crafts/diy. I am familiar with various general teaching methods, and feel confident coaching low-mid level gymnastics and tumbling. I also host craft nights, quilting workshops, and am a circus coach at Philadelphia School of Circus Arts. I also keep a library of materials on teaching and behavior management. I am LGBT friendly, Buddhist, and work well with neurodivergent and disabled children.
