About Sophie

I moved to Philadelphia after graduating from Duke University with a degree in Neuroscience in May 2022. For the past two years, I worked at Boston Children's Hospital in the Down Syndrome Program. I am starting medical school at Drexel this year with plans to become a pediatrician. I am now living in New York this summer as I work as a Research Intern at Montefiore between June-August. I have worked as a camp counselor at a preschool summer camp program since the summer of 2016 and have also served as a 1:1 behavioral facilitator for children between the ages of 1 and 5. I have many years of experience supporting toddlers, children, and teens with autism and am a certified Floor time Play Therapist. I also spent Sept 2021 - Feb 2022 as a nanny for two children (3 years & 6 months). At Boston Children's, I regularly worked with both typically developing children and children with developmental and medical diagnoses between the ages of 1 and 7 years. Best, Sophie
