About Torie

I'd describe my personality as extroverted and almost always joking. I strive to be patient and understanding, especially when working with children. I like working with kids because of many reasons! It is so rewarding to help shape the future, you get to experience life through their eyes and learn or re-learn life's most valuable lessons, and they keep you young. I started working with kids when I was in high school, roughly 10 years ago. I taught swim lessons and lifeguarded at my community pool. I also grew up in a big family. I have 11 nieces and nephews. In my spare time, I like to sing, play piano, swim, and craft. A few things you should know about me: I am scared of snakes, I am 5'8, and my favorite story to tell children is The Wizard of Oz. My skills include keeping calm under pressure, making a song out of anything, and I am very strong! Always happy to help lift things, whether it's a big box, suitcase, a toddler, or a combination.
