I show up on time and look professional. I am comfortable caring for a large patient population with a focus in geriatric conditions. I currently work full time as a RN for a large facility and am taking on elderly clients because I love caring for patients at home and helping families with strategies to keep loved one's at home. I am compliant with NC BON education requirements. I am familiar with different types of dementia and use distraction, redirection, and offer simple meaningful tasks. I am acutely aware that sensory stimulation can cause agitation and will troubleshoot issues before they arise if it's safe for the client. Safety & security are my primary goal. I am always honest about my skill level and if I am not comfortable I can provide safe care (very rare); I will acknowledge that and try to help you find someone that can help be a better fit for you.
