About Tiyrah

Hi! My name is Tiyrah, and I am a recent UC Berkeley graduate with years of hands-on childcare experience. I began helping care for my younger cousin when I was 12, supporting him from infancy through age 9 as he navigated ADHD. I helped with daily routines, homework, playtime, emotional support, cooking simple meals, and creating structure that helped him feel more calm and focused. I also helped care for another younger cousin from infancy to age 2 who has autism. That experience taught me how to be patient, flexible, and attentive to different communication styles, sensory needs, food preferences, and routines. I understand how important consistency, calm redirection, and individualized care can be for children with special needs.
