I have 30yrs. of healthcare experience. 25 of those years I worked closely with elderly patients, as a certified dialysis technician. Being more than just a care giver, but someone that truly cared about the client, listened to there concerns. In most cases, we the staff were the only family that some patients had. I have always said, treat the patients as they were your own mother or father. I have a big heart for the elders, as they are often overlooked. Their voices do matter.
