About Kristin

I'm a former RN who misses the time I used to get to spend with my senior patients. I enjoyed the fast paced, medical aspect of working as a nurse on a medical-surgical unit. However, what I loved the most was the care taking aspect of my job. I enjoyed connecting with my patients, many of whom were seniors, as well as getting to know their families. These days, being an RN has largely become about paperwork, passing medications, and working as a supervisor to the staff (aides, tech, etc) who are actually at the bedside, doing the care, and getting to know the patients. While I'm comfortable in those roles, I'd love to find a part time position that would allow me to take time getting to know people, helping them and/or their families with what they need & being a companion as much as anything else.
