About Thalia

Empowering students to find joy in discovery is at the heart of my teaching practice. With 10 years of experience, I focus on building confidence and fostering a genuine love for learning rather than simple memorization. I hold a college degree and specialize in helping elementary and middle school students excel in English. I am also a 6th grade English Teacher for the past 4 years. I tailor my approach to your unique needs by utilizing visual aids, hands-on activities, and interactive discussions. When concepts become challenging, I lean into curiosity and critical thinking to keep you engaged. I believe clear, consistent communication between myself, you, and your family creates the trust necessary for success. Nothing compares to the reward of witnessing that "aha!" moment when a difficult topic finally clicks. I am happy to meet at your home, a library, or any local community space, and I look forward to supporting your academic journey.
