I am currently in Jacksonville supporting family for a few months and looking for part-time work to supplement my income. I first had the opportunity to help a neighbour in need after quarantine, when their nursing staff got reduced. I would help with meal prep, errands, transportation, cleaning, dressing, and mobility. Family and community have always been important to me, so it wasn't surprising how much I enjoyed this work. I felt as though I was meeting another member of my family. And I not only felt helpful, I learned so much and made a new friend.
