I'm currently a junior at Thomas Jefferson University, majoring in Psychology, with plans to pursue Nursing. As the oldest sibling, I've helped care for young children and have personal experience supporting special needs-on the autism spectrum and also has diabetic needs, so I'm familiar with managing both behavioral and medical routines. I've also professionally cared for families with and without special needs children. I've completed 40 hours of Behavioral Health Technician training which has strengthened my ability to support children emotionally and developmentally. I’ve had a pleasure of having Tasneem nanny for me for the last three months. During the interview process, I was impressed by her caregiving experience and also her knowledge of managing children on the spectrum. My son has ASD and coupled with her experience, she adapted well to some of the challenges that came with caring for my son. As a working parent, I felt comfortable with Tasneem in my home in my absence with my toddler. Tasneem is patient and calm. Her tone of her voice is soothing. She was responsible for transportation, feeding, bathing and bedtime routine. Tasneem would also do housework as well. She took great care in all her duties and followed instructions well.
