Our 4-year-old daughter has both juvenile diabetes and is non-verbal autistic, which means she requires consistent, specialized support. Working with Ms. Joy over the past year and a half has been nothing short of a blessing for our family. From the moment Ms. Joy began working weekends with our daughter, she established a thoughtful routine that fits seamlessly within our home schedule. Understanding how challenging transitions can be, she created a personalized “Worker is Coming” system using pictures and a weekend-specific visual schedule to prepare our daughter for her arrival. This has made a significant difference in helping her adjust more easily and feel secure. Ms. Joy is incredibly knowledgeable and attentive when it comes to our daughter’s dietary restrictions and diabetes care. Her ability to manage both her medical and developmental needs gives us a level of comfort and trust that feels like leaving her with family. Additionally, Ms. Joy has taken the time to learn and incorporate our daughter’s communication device into their sessions. Not only has she supported its use, but she has also taught our daughter how to access new features on the device—empowering her to express herself in new and meaningful ways. We absolutely love having Ms. Joy as part of our daughter’s support team. Her care, dedication, and expertise are exactly what we were hoping for, and we couldn’t recommend her more highly!
