I have been volunteering and working with children for the past 10 years, ever since I was in high school. I have held a 3.5 or above GPA throughout my grade school years. I went to the Governors School for Arts and Tech as a Literary Arts major and then on to VCU to study Social Work and Child Psychology. I have been involved in various reading programs including reading with ESOL students and with the YMCA after-school programs. In the past I have tutored for 5th graders and a 3rd grader mainly in English and math. I have also taught in a 2yr old class at a preschool in the fan of Richmond. I absolutely loved school as a child and I want to make sure that every child I work with has a positive experience learning. I am patient and can adapt my tutoring methods/strategies to meet your child's needs. I am confident in my knowledge in the basic subjects and my ability to connect with a child to help them develop an understanding of the subjects we study and improve their skills.
