About Tanya

Hello there! I am a 31 year mom of 2 boys and I live in Machesney Park. I graduated in 2012 with an Associates in Early Childhood Education. I then worked at a local licensed daycare facility (2012 to 2018) with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. I gained much knowledge and skill as well as found my passion for teaching. In 2018 I became a mom and opened and operated a home daycare until 2020. There I made impactful relationships and strong connections with the families I served. Some activities I enjoy teaching/doing are: arts and crafts, songs/music and exploration in nature. I believe the best learning happens through play. In my freetime I love to garden, take photographs and do wheel-thrown pottery. My kids and I like to go bowling, take spontaneous hikes and cook together. I would love the opportunity to get to know your family more and help out with your childcare needs. I am comfortable with multiple children as well as pets and am more than happy to help around the house
