About Tanya

I am a teacher with 16 years experience. I have taught grades 6-12 both Social Studies and English. I am also comfortable tutoring math up to Algebra 1 and middle level science. I work especially well with neurodivergent students. Throughout my teaching career, I have prided myself on my creativity, ability to explain difficult concepts in multiple ways to gain understanding, and instilling a sense of confidence and independence in the students I work with. I approach teaching and learning with an enthusiasm and passion and this approach has been useful to engage reluctant learners.
