About Tanner

Hi, my name is Tanner, and I have a strong passion for working with individuals living with dementia. I hold a degree in Neuroscience from UAB and have both academic and hands-on experience in memory care. In college, I was involved with the Youth Movement Against Alzheimer's and volunteered as a caregiver for a man with dementia. During that time, I provided companionship, played memory-boosting games, and helped create a social, supportive environment. I also regularly met with his primary caregiver to ensure she felt supported and heard. I understand the challenges that come with memory loss and am dedicated to providing care that is patient, respectful, and engaging.
