Unsure if this is a real childcare provider looking for work. They submitted to my job. I took the time to read their resumé and schedule an interview. On the day of the interview just 20 minutes prior they text me saying their sister was going into labor and they needed to help her with her children. While this excuse and timing did seem oddly convenient just mixture before a scheduled video interview, I obliged and rescheduled for another time. I took time out of my day again today to get away from work and take their call. After five minutes she was a no-show. I sent a reminder text. I heard back over 10 minutes later and by about 15 minutes she had finally logged onto the zoom. At that point I had already left my location after having not heard from her at all for the first 10 minutes. As a parent of a newborn, looking for someone reliable, first impressions are important and missing your interview (which was a second impression) is even more of a red flag.
