Tamara was our nanny for a little under a year, starting when our first son was one year old. We all adored her. Tamara followed our schedule to a T and kept me updated throughout the day with photos and notes about their activities. I’ll admit our schedule was pretty rigid and I tend to request frequent updates, but Tamara handled everything with grace and understanding. As a new mom, I was especially sensitive to feeling judged, and she always made me feel completely comfortable and supported. When our second son was born, Tamara cared for him as well and, again, adhered to my schedule and proved to be a baby whisperer. The only reason she stopped working with us was because she moved too far away to make the commute practical. We still miss her dearly and had quite a challenge finding someone who could fill her shoes afterward.
