I'm a CNA/HHA. I have 6+ years of Home Healthcare experience. I was considered a live-in, my client that had ALS / Lou Gehrig's disease. I am a patient and reliable mother of 3 young "adults". My client was 35. He fought ALS for over 10 years. His life/needs came first before my own. He was bedridden. The last 2+ years he was on a breathing assist machine and had 2x daily/as needed, cough/respiratory therapy. I managed doctors/nurse visits, medications and assisted in all daily living needs. Ordered supplies as needed, organized them for easy retrieval and use. Care provided daily for g-tube, colostomy/stoma bag, saliva/mucus removable from mouth and trach. Stretching and mobility exercises. My hope is that my level of care, experience and detail-oriented, and patience would provide your loved one with the care and support they need.
