I have at least 15 years of experience. If your loved one is comfortable with dogs (licensed, groomed always) I have a yellow lab whose company could be enjoyable, if not, he will stay home. I have used therapy dogs in the past when they were allowed in hospitals and nursing homes. I cared for my mother (deceased) after 2 brain surgeries in NJ and assisted on her brain trauma unit. For 8 years I provided total care for a dear friend here that included hospice care. I have worked in nursing homes but do not like the care provided and they would not allow me to spend the time I needed to give my level of care. I can be flexible on hours but prefer evenings and nights because I worked night shifts for years.
