Hello, I am 18 years old and sophomore at the College of Charleston. I was diagnosed with POTS 2 years ago and have a personal connection with taking care of those with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, and mental disabilities. I have had hands on experience with T1 diabetes, epilepsy, and caring for special needs children. While in school I participated in the special needs program for 3 years while going to special olympics and taking the kids off campus to prevent learned helplessness and enjoy and positive, safe time, with other kids their age. Also, I am learning sign language in my spare time!
