Hello! My name is Sydney and I'm an experienced teaching artist who has nannied for one family for over a year. I've been working with kids since high school and graduated from Cornish College of the Arts where I studied stage management. I have taught and stage managed at Youth Theatre Northwest where I worked with large groups of children of all ages so I am excellent at classroom management. I also spent a summer teaching drama in India which taught me a lot about being flexible and adapting to new challenges. The summer before I worked as a drama school intern at Seattle Children's Theatre. I am proficient in Spanish and am learning ASL and love to integrate these with the kids I work with. I have been a full-time nanny for one family from summer 2020 to fall 2021 when I moved to Philadelphia. They have a 2-year-old boy and 7-year-old girl. I am passionate about encouraging, educating, and supporting kids to become their best selves and have fun doing it!

We hired Sydney to watch our two children (2 and 7) in August of 2020 after 6 months of working at home with our kids during the pandemic. We couldn't have chosen a more perfect nanny for our kids. Sydney is patient, caring, fun, responsible, and imaginative. During this past year she has taken on way more than we had expected her to in order to help our kids grow during this tough time. Our two year old is very behind in speech due to an early hearing impairment. Sydney took it upon herself to learn and teach our two year old sign language phrases to help him communicate. Our seven year old has been stuck at home doing school virtually. Sydney has kept her on track and interested through the school year, all while watching our toddler at the same time. She's an amazing and dedicated care giver.
