About Sydney

I have worked directly with elementary school children for the past three years. This past year, I began teaching second grade math. I am able to break down the intricacies of bundling, unbundling, arrays, etc. While my direct experience is with 2nd grade math, I have access to curriculum for all elementary grade levels to be able to access instruction for every standard. As a first year teacher, it is not expected of me to reach state testing goals (40%) by the end of the year, but I have already passed them in Q3 with a year long average of more than 42% of my students reaching proficiency. I was able to do this by learning the content and breaking the standards down into step by step action steps that allow them to master standards.
