For over 24+ years, I've cultivated a passion for helping students thrive academically. I hold a graduate degree and am a certified teacher. My tutoring approach centers on building confidence and fostering a love for learning through engaging, supportive, and patient methods. I actively listen to students, adapting my teaching with visual aids, hands-on activities, and discussions to suit their individual learning styles. I connect challenging topics to real-world examples, breaking down complex problems into manageable steps. Communication is key; I prioritize open dialogue with students and parents to ensure clear expectations and optimal results. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment and their growing confidence is the most rewarding part of my work. I can help with Math, English, Science, and Study Skills for Elementary School, Middle School, and Adult learners. I am comfortable tutoring at a student's home, online, or in a coffee shop. I have a car and am comfortable with pets.
