A little about my experience.. Most recently I had the pleasure of taking care of a young woman with ALS. Before that, I worked for a wonderful older gentleman that was a quadriplegic. He had a tracheostomy and was fully dependent on a ventilator. I worked for him until his unfortunate recent passing. Before him, I was the primary caregiver for a great young gentleman with ALS. Also, experienced with post-stroke recovery and cerebral palsy. I am experienced with many aspects of caregiving, including range of motion exercises/stretching, bathing, manual transfers, Hoyer lifts, power chairs, shower chairs, toileting, medication management, feeding tube, tracheotomy care, ventilator, cough assist, suction, ordering and maintaining medical supplies, light housekeeping, travel, driving to appointments, meetings, and so much more. Before being a caregiver, I spent several years as a cardiovascular technologist in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Sue's qualifications meet and exceed any requirements you may be looking for. From companionship to hoyer-lift transfers, you WILL BE in great care. I was very fortunate in the manner in which Sue was hired to help my wife (ALS 4.5yrs) while I attended an out of town conference for work. I already knew she was qualified based off a video I shared in 2017 in which she was the caretaker for another ALS patient. And I was right. After only a day of a walk through of our daily routine, she took over and allowed me more time than I had in many years. She's kind, dependent, punctual, a go-getter capable working many hospital quality machines (ventilators, cough assist, mucus suction, g-tube feeding/meds, Hoyer lift transfers) to name a few. She assimilated into our family effortlessly. Not only did my wife take to her, my mother and daughter did as well. I hope to work with Sue again in the future!
