I have been a middle school ELA teacher since 2002. I started my career with two years in NJ and then taught in a public school in Beaufort, SC. After nine years in that school, I had the privilege of working for the Department of Defense as a civilian teacher for over 10 years. I currently work in Paterson, NJ, specifically 8th grade. Over my 20 years of teaching, I have held several different titles, and I have continued to grow as a teacher through professional development. I am dedicated and passionate about the importance of literacy, and I take my job very seriously. I would love the opportunity to tutor kids to help them grow and succeed in the area of literacy, be it reading, writing, vocabulary development, and/or grammar.
