About Susan

I have been babysitting since I was a teenager, throughout high school, college, and working full time as an adult. I have less energy these days, but I have much more patience and am extremely conscious in the way I care for and interact with children. I believe kids both need and crave structure. I am extremely patient and consistent. I do not believe in yelling except in an emergency situation. I sincerely enjoy both the company as well as caring for children. I adore kids from infancy to teenagers. It seems as if at each age they are discovering new, fascinating things about the world around them, and as their caretakers we get to see these things afresh each time from each child's unique perspective. I love the time I spend with children; playing games indoors and out, reading books, singing, trips to the pool, playgrounds, libraries, or museums. As an artist, I really enjoy doing arts and crafts with kids if we have the materials and the time.
