About Susan

I co-founded the only year-round professional theatre in the Adirondacks and served as Artistic Director for many years. I also taught a variety of theatre courses at SUNYP. After many hectic years, my husband and I needed a change so we moved to Portland 13 years ago. By chance I volunteered at The Parkside Neighborhood Center. The Parkside "job" led to a long term sub job at Head Start and then to a teaching position at SECDC. I was Assistant Teacher in the 3-4-year-old classroom, but often spent quality time in the 2-year-old and preschool classrooms. Then Covid-19 came along. After the lockdown, I decided not to return as I was happily ensconced with a family in South Portland. I was with them for 3 years until the youngest went to preschool. Since then I have worked as an after school nanny for 2 families. Currently, I spend afternoons with a 6-year-old in Cape Elizabeth and Wednesday, Thursday mornings with a 3-year-old.
