About Surumya

Hey everyone! I'm Surumya. I'm a PsyD student at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in LA. Throughout my high school career I was thrown many curve balls. Bad teachers, subjects I naturally wasn't good at, and so much more. But in this experience, one thing stayed constant: math was my easy subject. With the help of some exceptional teachers and mentors, I learned how to slow down from the intense curriculum assigned to me and how to make school more manageable for myself. I learned to appreciate the teachers that maintained thorough communication with me, would meet my needs when I requested, and most of all, those who taught to the fullest. I try to implement these characteristics in my tutoring method to make learning fun and successful. I don't just want to teach how to do math. I want my students to understand what and why they're doing what they're doing by being an effective mentor and teacher. 50% of agreed rate for late cancels. Late- 5 hrs of session
