About Summer

Hi there! I hold a BA in Psychology from UTK and have 7 years of experience working with children ages 1-12. During my studies, I completed coursework in Child Development and Behavior Analysis, and I also trained and worked for two semesters as a RecessVols At-Risk Youth Mentor in Knox County schools. For the past 4 years, I've taught preschool four days a week at Knox Forest School. I'm passionate about nature connection, play-based learning, song and storytelling, and fostering social and emotional wellness. I'm organized, creative, and love planning activities that bring joy to children while supporting their growth and learning. For the past 3 years, I've nannied for a Knoxville family with two young girls, but they recently moved out of state, so I'm now looking for a new family that's the perfect fit!
