About Steven

I am a PhD candidate at Brown University with 4. 5 years of experience teaching and mentoring students at the college level. My background in Comparative Literature-spanning English, Latin, Ancient Greek, French, and Old Occitan-allows me to offer a unique, multi-language perspective on storytelling and writing (academic or otherwise). I specialize in helping students grasp the basics, but also move beyond them to refine their prose, master complex literary analysis, and build the research habits necessary for top-tier academic success. Whether we are navigating high school honors English, translating Classical languages, or tackling advanced college-level humanities coursework, my goal is to make challenging material clear, manageable, and genuinely engaging.
