Unlocking a student's unique potential is at the heart of my teaching approach. I specialize in K-8 subjects, reading support, math, and study skills. My background as a former paramedic and firefighter allows me to bring a calm, steady demeanor to every session, while my experience homeschooling my four children and providing reading intervention in public schools ensures my patient, adaptable style. I assess your student's needs through active observation, tailoring my methods--from visual aids to hands-on activities--to ensure concepts click. By breaking down complex problems and celebrating small wins, I keep students motivated and confident. I prioritize clear, consistent communication with parents to build a supportive, collaborative environment. Seeing a student reach their "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of my work, and I look forward to helping your child thrive. I hold CPR and First Aid certifications.
