About Lori

Hi families! My name is Lori. I am a patient, creative, and engaging educator. I am a certified elementary teacher with 12+ years of classroom teaching experience and a Master's Degree in Education. I also have an ESOL certification. Over the past few years, I have tutored students ages 5 and up. I have seen how one on one support translates to classroom success! I currently tutor students in grades 1-5 in reading, writing, and math. I also tutor students in grade 6 that need reading and writing support. I offer in-person or virtual tutoring to students in Frederick, MD. I also offer virtual tutoring for students in other counties. I enjoy building relationships with the students I teach! I create a supportive environment that helps students build confidence. I also prioritize communication with parents to ensure that we are aligned in supporting academic growth.
