About Sophie

with several years of hands-on childcare experience. I've worked as a nanny for two girls (ages 8 and 10) for two years, as well as for a 9-year-old for one year. In those roles, I managed school pick-ups and drop-offs, prepared meals, helped with homework, planned creative and outdoor activities, and supported daily routines. I attended California College of the Arts, where I received my BFA in Sculpture. I'm a practicing studio artist and have shown work in several exhibitions throughout the Bay Area. When I'm not working, I'm usually in my studio making art. Being an artist deeply informs how I connect with kids -- I love experiencing the world through their perspective. In addition to nannying, I've worked teaching art to children, which strengthened my ability to balance structure with creativity.
