About Sophie

Hi! My name is Sophie, and I love working with children and helping them feel confident in what they're learning! I have several years of experience working with children of different ages, especially younger children. I've worked as a preschool teacher, a floater with children of all ages, a lead teacher for 1- and 2-year-olds, and a lead summer program teacher for school-age children ages 5-12. I've also nannied for children up to age 14. When tutoring younger kids, I like to keep learning fun, encouraging, and age-appropriate. I'm happy to help with homework, reading, writing, basic math, school projects, or just provide extra practice in areas they may be struggling with. I know that every child learns differently, so I try to be patient and adjust my approach to what works best for them. My goal is not only to help children understand the material, but also to help them feel proud of themselves and more confident in their abilities!
