About Sophie

I have worked with children as a tutor, caretaker, swim instructor, and community member for as long as I can remember! I love to get active outdoors, hike, bike, walk, and swim! I am a certified infant, child, and adult CPR & am a swim instructor with 5 years of group and individual lesson experience. I also love to create -- sewing, knitting, weaving, ceramics and anything else I can do to reuse and upcycle! I'm also a big reader and writer & have a degree in history. I have 2 years experience tutoring Spanish speaking students, and 2 years experience as a writing tutor for undergrad and graduate students at the University of Washington. I have a clean driving record and love to explore trails, hikes, parks, and museums! I have a BA in history focused on local history of the Puget Sound/ Salish Sea which I love to share with students of all ages!
