About Sophia

I'd describe my personality as outgoing, reliable, and compassionate. I love childcare because I'm constantly inspired by the wonder they have for the world, and I love hearing their hilarious stories! It is so rewarding to see them challenged themselves and grow. I'm looking for a job that is longer term (a few months or more), and where I can have a great connection with the entire family. I started working with kids as an overnight camp counselor. I fell in love with how fun and rewarding it was and spend more summers working at outdoor camps. Since graduating, I've worked at a Montessori preschool as a classroom assistant. In my spare time, I like to bike, cook, knit, and play the drums! One thing you should know about me is I am a great communicator - I am happy to send pictures and updates, and it's important to me that we have a plan for any emergency situation. My skills include Montessori education, helping with homework, and outdoor education.
