About Sophia

My 11 years of experience started from co- raising my nephew, who lives with me. He came into my life at a young age, me being 11, and having to put aside being a child and transition to becoming a second mother figure for him. My nephew is very energetic with behavioral issues, and caring for him builds my patience and deepens my care and empathy for children. I have grown to believe in gentle (but firm) parenting. For about 6 months I nannied for a 6-month-old, cared to all her needs and loved every second of it. This all has provided me with a wide range of ages, skills, and experience. I am currently caring for a 9-month-old one day a week 9-5 while I still serve at a restaurant on weekends. I am hoping to put aside my serving job and dedicate my time n attention to children full time. There is nothing I love more than being around children and making them feel as important and precious as they are!
