About Sophia

l'm a rising sophomore at Rice University in Texas studying Biology and Medical Humanities! I love learning and can tutor elementary-high school students in a variety of subjects. I am most experienced tutoring ages 3-12 in math and reading, as I taught in the Early Learning Classroom at Kumon for two years. I also worked at the Natural History Museum of Utah, where I taught ages 5-16 a variety of science topics! In most recent years, I have also had experience teaching short workshops at elementary and middle schools, where I have taught about climate change, food waste management, healthy relationships, and youth mental health. I am most confident in science tutoring, especially Biology and Chemistry where I can teach up to the AP level. I also received a 1570 on the SAT and 36 on the ACT, so if you are looking for SAT/ACT/AP tutoring for your high schooler, I would love to help! Finally, I have around 13 years of classical piano experience, so I would love to help tutor piano.
