About Sony

Hi! I've spent the past 7 years volunteering and teaching young students, including six years leading hands-on science modules and learning activities. I've also worked with students with different learning needs, which has taught me that there is rarely a one-size-fits-all approach to learning. My teaching approach is centered around **concept, reflection, and application**. I want students to understand why something works, rather than simply memorize a formula or procedure. We first work through the concept, then reflect on what feels confusing and where they may be getting stuck. I'm currently pursuing a joint MBA and MS in biomedical engineering, so I'm comfortable teaching science, math, and problem-solving across different levels.
