I am looking to have a good working relationship with the family I provide care for ensuring mutual respect and communication. Previously, I received my degree in education and worked as a preschool teacher in Colombia. My classrooms had up to 40 children in Colombia. While in the United States, I worked as an Au Pair for 3 years, worked in schools, and also supported other families with special needs. I have long term experience working with children and can easily build rapport and positive relationships with them. Depending on the child's needs and age, I can create activities, games, lessons and exploration opportunities to promote their development and abilities.

Sofia joined our family when our youngest was just four months old and quickly became a steady, reliable presence. She learned the feed-nap-play rhythm within days and handled bottles, laundry, and toy rotation. Throughout the day she’d send a few sweet photos and brief notes, genuinely sharing in our joy at each new smile and milestone. We appreciated that she didn’t keep our baby cooped up. Sofia planned outings—library baby-time, children’s museums, park strolls—so our little one could see new sights and interact with other kids, which was high on our wish list. When we needed evening coverage, she managed both children (our infant and energetic four-year-old) while keeping dinner, play, and bedtime on track. Sofia is organized and respectful of our parenting choices. If you need someone who follows instructions, takes initiative, and keeps things calm with multiple kids, she’s a solid choice. Our family will miss her warm presence, but we’re grateful for the care and happy memories she helped create.
