About Sofia

Hello! My name is Sofia and I am 24 years old. I am currently enrolled in a Medical Assistant Program (graduating soon) and working toward furthering my education as a BSN-RN, looking to apply to UTA'S Accelerated Online Program. Since I am interested in pediatrics, I would love to keep working with children. Being in healthcare has given me valuable skills in basic life support, CPR and general caregiving. Some of my most valuable skills are that I am Bilingual (English and Spanish), my passion for helping others drives me to provide the best care as possible and I make sure to bring dedication and creativity into everything I do. I have been surrounded by and grew up with children throughout my life. I used to babysit my two cousins, so I have hands-on experience. Additionally, I have cousins with special needs, including Autism and Down Syndrome, which has given me valuable experience with children with diverse needs.
