About Skyler
Hello, my name is Skyler and I have been professionally teaching and privately tutoring grades K-6th for a total of 8 years now, focusing on subjects such as English, Reading, Writing, Science, Math (in preparation for STEM), Art, Critical Thinking, History, Music, as well as Spanish and Italian. I am an in-home tutor for grades TK-6th, and historically I have able to help students grow and develop their reading, writing, and math skills. I have a B. A. and an M. A. in the humanities, informing my teaching practice with a love for culture and the arts. I also have experience teaching young students foreign languages like Italian and Spanish. After screening a large number of candidates, we chose Skyler as my son's tutor, three hours a day, for nearly a month now. She has a good artistic and literary education background, is proficient in many languages, and is very punctual, gentle and patient. She will carefully arrange the teaching plan and give a detailed teaching report every week, so that we can have a good understanding of the children's learning situation. Indeed, we have seen marked progress in reading, writing and so on. We will consider her as my son's tutor on a long-term basis.
