About Skyler

Hi! I'm Skyler, a Psychology major (Education minor) on the path to becoming a speech-language pathologist. I've built my academic and professional life around helping kids become confident readers and communicators. I work as an Educational Clinician at a nationally recognized literacy intervention center, providing one-to-one, research-based reading instruction to students of all ages -- including kids with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning differences. I've also tutored English through a Teach For America fellowship and mentored elementary students in Oakland. What I offer: K-5 reading intervention: phonics, decoding, fluency & comprehension Writing and essay coaching for older students Patient, upbeat sessions that celebrate small wins I'm based in Berkeley and available weekday evenings and weekends, in your home or at a library.
