About Maya

I am a fully credentialed educator with a Master of Education in Special Education and experience supporting students with diverse learning needs. I specialize in individualized instruction for students with IEPs, multilingual learners, and those who need extra support in reading, writing, and core subjects. I hold multiple California teaching credentials, including an Education Specialist Credential, Multiple Subject Credential, and Single Subject Credentials in English and Business. I also hold certifications in ABA-based crisis intervention and First Aid/CPR/AED. I have experience working with elementary through high school students and supporting a wide range of academic goals, from strengthening foundational literacy and writing skills to helping students stay organized and complete assignments. My teaching approach focuses on differentiated instruction, building confidence, and helping students develop strong learning habits in a supportive and encouraging environment.
