About Nina

I have 30 years of teaching experience, mainly with middle and high school students with learning differences. I specialize in supporting and motivating unconventional and reluctant learners to succeed in school. I believe there is a way to engage every student, by building a positive relationship and incorporating each individual's interests and learning styles/preferences. My students say I have a good sense of humor and I "get them". I have experience assisting students to develop their Executive Functioning skills. I have helped countless students improve their grades and their test scores. I hold valid CA teaching credentials in English, Reading Specialist, and Special Education.
