About Skylar

Hi, my name is Skylar, and I'm a 3rd-year Accounting major at CSUMB with extensive tutoring and mentoring experience. I specialize in financial and managerial accounting, academic writing, and Spanish language support. I've worked as an Embedded Tutor for Umoja at Ohlone College and a Writing Tutor for the Cooperative Learning Center at CSUMB, helping students strengthen their skills and confidence. My approach is patient, clear, and adaptable, focusing on breaking down complex concepts to match each student's learning style. Along with academics, I bring strong communication and leadership skills from my roles as a mentor and educator. My goal is to help students not only succeed in class, but also build independence and long-term confidence in their abilities.
