About Silvano

For the past 10 years, I've been helping students unlock their full potential. I hold a graduate degree and am a certified teacher with experience in Individualized Education Programs (IEP). I tutor in Math, English, Science, Test Preparation, Foreign Language, Special Education, and Study Skills. I work with adult and college-level students. My teaching philosophy centers on building confidence and fostering a love for learning, not just memorization. I actively listen and observe to assess each student's individual learning style, then adapt my methods accordingly. To keep students motivated, I connect challenging topics to real-world examples or their personal interests. I believe strong communication builds trust and a collaborative environment among student, parent, and myself. Witnessing a student's "aha!" moment is the most rewarding part of tutoring. I have a car and am available to tutor at your home, a learning center, or online. I also speak Spanish.
